Sandown Raceway Officials

Sandown Raceway has a pool of very experienced groups of officials that support all motoring events that take place at the venue. There are specialist groups such as medical, fire & recovery or track side groups such as the Victorian marshalling team. All members of all teams working together are what creates a safe, (fun) working environment for everyone to experience whilst officiating at Sandown.
Are you interested in becoming an official at Sandown Motor Raceway? Think you have what it takes?
If so, we recommend your first step is to contact the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) Officials Hotline on 1300 883 959. This is to ensure you are covered by insurance whenever you officiate at Sandown.
Once you are registered formally as an official, you will need to be allocated to a track side team. If you are unsure of which team your skills are most beneficial or not aware of how to contact the appropriate team, contact our office for further information.
At Sandown Motor Raceway we run a loyalty system for official's whereby those who volunteer their services to support the other Motorsport events throughout the year (2 x State Championships in Winter, Shannons Nationals & Historics in October/November respectively) get priority treatment for the V8 Supercar Event in mid September. It is therefore recommended that you join up with a team and volunteer at the earlier events to secure a place come the V8SC Sandown 500.
