Special Conditions

Prior to any hire of the Motor Circuit, prospective clients will need to be aware of some important conditions of use.

• Public Liability Insurance cover to the value of $10 (ten) million must be provided to the Club. Due to the level of danger involved with the use of the motor circuit, clients must ensure they and their guests are fully covered.
• In the instances where damage is caused to tyre walls, guardrails, or other sections of the track, the liability for repairs will also fall on the hirer.  
• The Melbourne Racing Club holds special permits with the local Council to enable certain motorsport and motoring-based activities to be conducted at the venue. Clients need to understand and adhere to the conditions of these permits, as they relate to such issues as noise, vehicle registration, and time of operation.
• Sandown's Motor Circuit is not available for private practice. 
• Corporate Drive Days and Driver Education sessions are booked as private hires, and therefore are not open to the public.
