The Melbourne Racing Club prides itself in presenting both its racecourse venues to the highest standard. This is no more noticeable than the gardens and grounds at Sandown.

Featuring well manicured lawn areas, natural bushes and walkways, the gardens make an ideal accompaniment to any festival, conference or trade exhibition.

The most popular grassed location is the rear lawn, adjacent to both the Undercover Area and rear of the grandstand. This area is frequently used for outdoor family entertainment such as carnival rides, and outdoor displays of vehicles and equipment.

All areas have easy access for large vehicles, as well as toilets and fire equipment in close proximity.
