4WD Training Facility


As a further extension to the driver education facilities available at Sandown, a brand new 4WD/AWD training facility has been constructed. 

This new facility will includes a wide range of features such as log & rock crossings, water hole, slopes, deep sand pit and a gravel roadway, all designed in conjunction with Murcotts for the purposes of driver education for private and corporate clients who own or operate SUV or 4WD vehicles.

Construction is complete, with pilot courses held in June 2007. The facility has been designed with most features having both 'mild' and 'more severe' terrain, thus catering for all vehicles and driver ability levels.

Located within 25 mins of the CBD, this facility avoids clients having to drive hours out of Melbourne to learn 4WD vehicle handling skills in the forest regions.
